Fire Dancers at Edens Door

My love, she’s still sleeping, well past the early dawn

My muse she lays quietly, waiting to be drawn

My artist hands too clumsy, to capture what I see

But her image is painted clearly, In my memory

Age has not diminished her, nor has made her cruel

Her Kindness knows no limits, yet she is nobody’s fool

Last night I saw the fire dancers, dancing at Edens door

And we were holding hands, looking past Edens shore

Ancient sea birds are  circling, circles in the sky

Letting the wind carry them, when they could no longer fly

My love continues to walk with me, peaking behind every door

But we both walk much slower now, our steps not as sure

I bring her coffee in the morning, she makes me dinner at night

At the end of the day,  we just lay together

And hope we did it right

Last night I saw the fire dancers, dancing at Edens door

And we were holding hands Looking past Edens shore
